Deepavali: The festival of lights is an important festival in the Hindu calendar. In Singapore the indian community celebrates Deepavali by joining together as a family, albeit a family that is thousands of miles from home. This outward celebration converges on Little India and commune together to eat, drink and be family. This gallery is a walk through the Tekka Centre, a place of food and shopping. The atmosphere is genial and, as per normal in Singapore, respectfully observed in an inclusive manner.
