Hội An formerly known as Fai-Fo or Faifoo, is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its beautiful and picturesque Ancient Town, cut through with canals. It's architecture is an interesting historical mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colourful French colonial buildings. Something for everyone day or night. Of special note are the ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic "Japanese Covered Bridge" with its pagoda, dating to the 16th-17th century. Old Town Hội An, the city's historic district, is a photographer's dream which attracts people to partake of the wonderful laid-back ambiance. The mix of locals and visitors, wonderful eateries and charities makes for a feast for the eyes.
